This was a project other landscapers thought was too out of the box. Lauri-Ann used to have an organic seed distribution company where she grew and collected all sorts of amazing plants on her 10 acre farm. When she needed to move into the city, Lauri-Ann dreamed of keeping her company going but on a smaller suburban corner lot.

We lifted the sod, amended the soil with organics and topped with mulch to keep only the desired seeds and plants coming up. Simple, moveable trellis structures can be erected where needed.

Instead of seeing rows of houses, she wanted to look out and see rows of plants like back on the farm. The rows are spaced so a garden cart can pass and every plant is accessible.

Lauri-Ann got to work fast and by mid season, a wild variety of plants had already been established. We look forward to documenting the evolution of this suburban farm for years to come.

Part of organic certification is accurate record keeping. This means permanent numbered marker poles. These were custom printed to be all weather and UV resistant.

To the left, we installed a dog run so the pooch has a place to play unsupervised without worrying about the plants. All fencing was installed and designed to make sure plants were protected from direct wind yet good airflow remained available.
